Looks like a typical fairly breezy day - south wind up to 17mph or so. If I were taking a yak out to Phantom, I'd go either to Sailboat Slough or the northeast corner near the spillway. It's been weeks since I went, but I caught crappie up in the power plant intake and blue cats straight across the lake from there.
Good luck, be safe.

Fishing Village cove and the one just east off Yaw Rd has always been real good.
They say the lake is pretty full so that will be a sight to see in itself.
Thinking on getting a room and hitting maybe Kirby or Stamford on Sunday.
Need to find a place to stash the boats

Yeah, the east side coves would be a good place to hit, too; you're right. Out of the wind, and if the crappie aren't already spawning, they should be getting close. Dang cold front every week sure doesn't help.

The lake is FULL!! A few weeks ago was the last time I went, and it was 1/3' high and just barely going over the spillway. If you haven't been in a while, it's a different lake!

If you decide to stay overnight and need a place to throw the yaks, you can use my backyard. Text me 936-404-8786. I live on the southwest side of town.

Wow, yeah. I was thinking about you yesterday as I was watching all the trees in town get bent in half. Glad you're ok!
