Well I hit up one of my semi local spots with the 3 wt yesterday afternoon. Managed quite a few little gills and a nice bass somewhere in the 18-20" range.

I drove past Sulphur creek on 281 last week on business, almost stopped and got a line wet...now I'm kicking myself. smile Beautiful colors on those first two bluegills!

Yep should have stopped! It's pretty much my go to place after heavy rains. It doesn't get effected as bad, since my arrival the first time in Tx in 2006I have only seen it not fishable twice..

This creek is probably one of the northern most places you can catch Guadalupe bass. You can also catch a few more rare species here if you are into that--
Mexican tetras will take midges,
Red spotted sunfish
Texas log perch
Redhorse suckers
This creek from Lampasas down a couple miles stays at a pretty constant temp all year due to the spring source just north of the park.
