 Lake Whitney on a windy day

I was thinking about going tout Whitney early in the morning but the forces for tomorrow 9- 20 mph winds. How is the water with this type of forcast? I figured with the most of the lake in kind of a canyon it wouldn't be too bad. What do yall think?
