Time for me to get a new cover. My boat is a restored skeeter sf175 bass boat. I need to purchase a cover that is good but want break the bank. I don't travel a lot with my boat covered. When my boat is not being used it's at the house with the cover I have on it plus under a shed cover. I know you get what you pay for but I'm looking for a desent item to buy. Thanks in advance.

Contact Capt Craig here on the forum.
He had a custom fit cover made last year and I think the price was very fair !

My cover was just a standard semi-custom cover. Not suitable for using while towing. Was built to my boat off a pattern they had. Purchased through Iboats.com. It is a very nice cover.

I bought mine online through Wal-Mart. Five year warranty. But it is not a towable cover. Paid around $250 for my 20' Wellcraft CC.

Don't know much about covers but the one I have is vented and while going down the road it sucks down tight around the boat like shrink wrap. If you're looking for a towable cover I'd definitely look for one that is vented.

If you don't won't to spend a lot on a custom cover then go http://www.carvercovers.com/ and follow the prompts. They make really good semi custom covers for lots less. If you need help just call me at 972-771-4442.

For what it is worth: I recently bought a Carver Cover for a 20' cc Blue Wave thru North Texas Marine at a price delivered UPS at pricing better than the carver web site. Looks good, fits well, and the towable part we will find about shortly. FYI I paid $335 and consider it to be a fair deal.

Thanks Tommy and "Dear John" for mentioning Carver Covers. While at the BASS Classic last month I entered a drawing and my name was pulled for a semi custom towing cover for my Skeeter. Its being made at the moment, anxious to actually see it on arrival and see what I won woot

Debra cool
