Just curious, I am planning on getting some additional supply of Hooks, Weight and line and i fish near the boat ramp. what size of hooks, line weight, and weight do you buy to catch some good size fish?
I got suggestion to get 1/0 and 1/2 weights....
my 10lb line broke last time i fished.. maybe i am a noob

For live bait I use Gamakatsu Octopus Circle Hooks in 3/0 size for striper. I think 2/0 would be just right for white bass. If you are not using circle hooks, I suggest you try them out. The hook sets itself neatly in the corner of the mouth (no need for a big dramatic hookset). I have done a lot of fishing with 12 lb monofilament.

I fish only 2 ounce slabs with 2/0 treble hooks for whites and hybrids. I only fish PowerPro 30# braided line with heavy slabs.
