Does anyone know if Lake Houston is worth going to. I am supposed to go visit some friends down there this weekend and was planning on taking the boat.

However dont know much about this lake and tried searches on TFF with limited information available.

So if someone who knows if this lake is worth going or not would let me know - I would appreciate it?

If it is - could you point out some locations to target - I am not just targeting sand bass but any species.

Thanks in advance

Cane Pole if you put in at Lake Houston Marina on Hwy 1960, go north when you pass the first big point on the left angle 45 degrees to your left. You'll see an opening with houses at the back. Stay about 20-30 yds off the bank on your left not on plane in this area, very shallow to your right. This is Luce's Bayou. It turns quickly back to the left then back to right. Then the water gets deep again 15-20' in the middle. Bayou goes back 5 or 6 mile. Really fishing looking. People catch bass and crappie up in there all the time. Hard to tell a person whos never been there but just watch other boaters going in and coming out and you'll be ok. Just kind of tricking going in and coming out. You'll like the area.

I was going to say if you go left you are going into a stump field stay to the right and when you get close to the shore turn left then right. Fish the shore line pretty good bite in there right now.
