I found out it is indeed a river carp sucker. And a decent size one to catch on Rod n reel. New water body record Lake Lewisville.

Great job Mike. Those guys are hard to come by. I had a hard time figuring out what I had the first time I caught one of them. All of them I have caught have been accidental while carp fishing. Here is the State record river carpsucker that I caught at Joe Pool. It was over 4 pounds. The all time record that i was able to research is over 7 pounds. It was caught in Oklahoma.

I caught a pretty good one last year standing in that exact same spot.

I miss that place. Too far to commute for me now. I have pounded the carp there in the past on light tackle.. I heard that it is torn up now due to the last storms.
