Hit the lake before starting work in earnest this morning, the black bass were aggressively feeding on shad shallow. Find shad on rocks, toss in a silver blue fox spinner and have fun.
Caught 10, very energetic fish, lost one I at least got to see which probably was a 4 lb one, rest were in the 1-3 range. Did get a smallmouth a couple days ago, same pattern.
Seemed like a pre-spawn feed to me...just guessing.
Also got 2 with wierd gray tumors on their heads.

Fished a kayak bass tournament there on the 25th and saw bass on beds in the creek behind Scotts Landing The creek fed by water from the treatment plant. Water was super clear.
