I read that there were some chain pickerel in some lakes in TX including Lake Tyler. Wondering if anyone fishes for them? I used to catch some in VA when the Navy had me stationed there. Good little gamefish on light tackle.

I caught a couple during spring break on Lake Hawkins. It has a good population and I seem to catch them on spinner baits but also caught one on a senko. They are cool to look at but will get your boat a little slimy.

I have never targeted them specifically. That said while bass fishing I have caught them on Lake Tyler and Lake Hawkins. Fun fish, and very cool.
