Can you legally run wide open parallel to the bridges on Fork or any lake unless otherwise marked by buoys?

Yes. Some bridges on Fork you run parallel to them before you get to a boat lane to go up or down the lake. I try to stay as far away as I can without risking hitting something. Personally I would not run right beside the bridge as the pylons create a blind spot. I want to be far enough away to see under (through) the bridge

This isn't a law but something I do. I run down wind of the bridges so if the waves push the boat it pushes me away from bridges and not into it. May be unnecessary but it makes me feel better

I think its more dangerous to run parralel to bridge than running threw them if you arent far enough away.
At least if you are running head on you got a clear picture of what is under the bridge and on the other side.
Like mentioned above, there are tons of blindspots if running parallel.
Im going to be far enough out that i can shut down our steer out of the wY of someone hauling [censored] through regardless if it is idle or no idle.

Great suggestions, thanks. I also slow down and idle by anyone fishing under the bridge then get back up on plane. Thank you

I run the riprap or earth bank but its idle speed along the bridge itself. Its a good idea to avoid the area around the boat lanes since not everybody knows the law or sees the signs.

I run them all the time. Usually just fast enough to get on pad and then open it up once I get on the main lanes.

Having been a safety professional for near 26 years I of course always err on the side of safety. Running up close and parallel to a bridge that could have traffic coming under it straight at me sounds like an accident waiting to happen. Nationwide the number one place that boating accidents occur is at bridges, so many states have regs that say idle speeds only going under a bridge.

Yes, you can run all of them wide open!
But be careful when coming into a bridge on pad and when you lay it down. I got a warning from the GW about 2 years ago about waking under the bridge. He said I came off pad too close to the bridge.
