Who was the guy that wrote for Honey Hole years ago, Forrest, Fritz, Fishcer, Fritcher....something like that....he called it Airplane Cove and I believe is responsible for naming it that because he said every time he fished it Airplanes flew over?

I caught a couple of nice crappie today while bass fishing. I was using a big flutter spoon so these were some brave fish! The fish were in about ten feet of water. The cool thing was that this was the first time that I saw fish on my sonar and was actually able to catch them.

Today was terrible. Much colder than expected and wind more than predicted. I was not dressed for it. Crappie did not cooperate. Fished the far north west side. Caught 1 crappie in 2' of water. Rough.

It has been super tough this winter and spring. The piles seem to have a lot of small fish with a good one mixed in. Today was really good for me. 14-22 fow on brush.

Jigs worked good today.
