 What Spinning Reel to pair with my new rod?

Hey guys!
***EDIT*** I need to SPINNING reel, not baitcast, sorry for the confusion-- I was a few beers in when writing this lol
just picked up a 7ft med Abu Vendetta rod and was wondering what reel you guys would put with it, on a $60-$90 budget? I was thinking maybe a Pfluger President or something like that? I primarily catfish am just getting into LMB, etc- Can't wait to get it set up, thanks in advance!!!!

Academy h20 mettle is a really nice reel for cheap. Good beginner reel. Actually, good any reel.

Sorry guys, didn't mean to confuse, I need a spinning reel-- not using baitcasting yet!! I may trade in the vendetta for a veritas 2.0 but either way, what spinning reel would ya recommend?

If I had just one bass rod, it would be a medium heavy. If you plan on exchanging the rod, try a few spinning reels in your price range on it and see if one fits better than the others.

I heard the Abu Veritas 2.0 Medium, acts like a MH-- maybe I should go this route, having ability to launch cranks as well as plastics- thanks for the responses so far guys!

My brother got both me and my Dad each one for Christmas a few seasons ago. They were combined with 6'6" Carbonlite, medium action rods. They work great, but I admit I don't use it as much as I did. After all these years, I finally learned to use baitcasters. Regardless, when I go for spinning, this Pflueger setup is all I need. Adddendum: They are currently listed as 6935 at the size we have, but a few years ago, the same model was called a 6735. ...------

I use to recommend the President and it is still a great reel, but I would look at the Daiwa Revros and Shimano Nasci now depending on how much you are willing to part with.

I think I am going to go with the Abu Garcia ORRA SX on an Abu Garcia Veritas 2.0 Medium (many reviews state this feels like a Med/Heavy)- Can only upgrade from there after I get more into bass fishing  May think about it a bit more before I buy this weekend but thanks for the recommendations all!
