What's y'all's preferred rigging method for getting them from the bank? I went to lavon on Wednesday off 380 and used the Santee rig and a three way with peg float using cut shad and stubbys and caught 3 in 4 hours. Was wondering what y'all would use.

^^That^^

I actually use a Carolina rig with a no roll sinker and a peg float on the leader line. Seems to work well for me.

Perfect! It seems like the people going after crappie were catching them about a foot from the bank but I was casting about 20 yards out. I'm gonna try different distances out from the bank next time.

you want to fish on the rocks, or close we fish 5-7 ft out and use Slip Bobber, bait about 2-3 ft from bobber. if wind coming to you cast out a bit and let it drift in, if not then just out a bit. good luck. now is the time..

There in the shallows right now . Stick with the shad . Been wanting to try out that float on the leader setup to keep bait slightly off bottom . Been using the Carolina myself with fresh shad and maybe some cut up carp when shad are unavailable and the fishing good has been working well .

I was out there today by 380 not at the bridge but on the rocks, caught 2 channels in about an hour and then nothing after that, was gonna move and work my way towards the bridge but we had too much gear and it seemed like a hassle might go out again tomorrow with less stuff and see how that works out !
