Just sold mine and curious what deals or avenues are best for financing a new or used boat? I have a local banker but if anyone has experienced a better deal please share.

REC Lending seems to be a good option

Seems people either love or hate RecLending... local credit unions often have the best rates

depends on how long you want to finance. 60 months or less at city credit union is 1.99%

Resource One Credit Union was the best I found for a used bought. Flexible months to finance and great rates.

Just research rec lending before you use them. My credit union gave me the best deal so that's what I went with

I would hope the "hate" list is really short. Certainly not everyone is happy with the news they hear. In some cases it is difficult to separate the message from the messenger. Please contact me directly if there is anything we can do to help.
You can always check the thread on the boards at Bass Boat Central (BBC) under the same name. We have several threads from people there. Boat Loans and Extended Warranties 101.
My email is ken@reclending.com or my cell is (517) 930-2721.
Thank you,
Ken

I used reclending a few years ago to purchase my used boat....found them very professional, and got me a great rate at a lending institution I would have never found on my own...I had checked with my credit union and several other options as well...they provided the best option for me..I would advise anyone to shop around to make sure you are getting the best loan for you..just like shopping for anything else..

I would guess the haters are those that got turned down for credit reasons. I had a great experience and got a great rate too. cheers
