I've been thinking about getting us some for a while now. We have a ranch in Mills County with 1.25 of the Colorado on it and a a 15 and 5 acre lake. Wanted something we could use and explore the Colorado. Been reading alot in this section and appreciate all the knowledge. I ended up getting me a Coosa HD and got her a Coosa. We both want to someday tackle the Devils so that was one reason I chose the Coosa. I have a feeling this new hobby is going to get expensive. Let the fun begin.

Congrats. Only gets expensive if you let it, I have a Coosa, that's nearly as it came from the factory. I don't really get the whole fish finder/battery/led lights/6 rods/20lbs of tackle/etc... I got it to be simple, zero prep from garage to truck to lake, get on the water fast to catch fish and have fun. Also, you'll be surprised how much you can store below the deck on those if you ever go on a over-nighter.

Get a nice paddle and pfd and you'll have more fun than you can imagine.

Congrats, the Coosa's a great river boat. I primarily fish rivers as well and call the Brazos my "home" waters but been wanting to start hitting more rivers down in hill country.

You and your daughter will love the Devils, and now you have the perfects boats.

Too many think kayak fishing is just for men. My match has proven me wrong. Greatness. I also love when kids can learn this early. Its going to be so many awesome memories. Enjoy.

Got a couple of Kayaks off craigslist for me and my 9yr old Granddaughter. Got a chance to take them out a couple weeks
ago to Colorado Bend State Park. She outfished me and outran me back to the launch site while I was rolling up her anchor.
Last year I wade fished and pulled her around with me on a homemade kick boat,after 7 hrs of tough fishing the bite picked up just before dark.Got too dark to see to retie line,and i tell her we needed to be going and she told me that the park doesnt close till 10. She is the most dedicated fishing kid I ever seen.!! My #1 fishing buddy

My daughters pretty excited. She is 12 and loves the outdoors. We will definitely be making some great memories.
