I have seen a lot of hate towards duckett rods and I honestly cannot see why. I bought a duckett ghost a while back because they are a cheaper option and I loved the feel of the rod so why not? I can honestly say this may be a cheap blank but I have never fished a rod this sensitive before so I went and bought 5 more and fish them exclusively. am I crazy?!?

You like what you like. Last time I checked there was nothing wrong with that.

My first one was a gift. I have since bought 5 more. My fishing partner owns 8 and neither of us has had a single issue with them.Just my $.02 worth.

Some people just have had horrible luck with the micro guides breaking off easier than they should. Personally, for that $100-$120 price range, I'll take the Falcon BuCoo rods every time.

I have always liked them myself. had one until I broke 6" off it just haven't bought one to replace it yet. Use what feels good to you.

I like them. I liked the chrome hardened guides I don't think there are inserts. I am not a fan of the micro guide in general, and am going to thin those rods out.

You get what you pay for and Duckett rods are a pretty good value.

+1 but the Duckett seem like pretty good rods to me. The guys I know with them really like them.

I've had very few issues, and they have all been with guides/inserts.

I have been fishing their new Triad line since last November, and it seems like they've really stepped up their quality control.

Awesome customer service, and good rods for the money. I don't have any reason to switch.

I have the Micro Magic in a 7-6 and a 7-11 crank bait rods and I like the flex they have. Im not a big fan of the micro guides when putting new line on but I haven't had a problem with them or the rods.

I have a couple of the Lews speed sticks which are also $100-Don't have anything against the Duckett rods but I think the Lews are a better rod all things considered.

the one thing I like about the ducketts is Academy will take them back if they break. My son just had one break on a fish that weighed about 2 lbs.
