Hi All,
A few friends and I are camping at Somerville in a couple of weeks and would like to find some crappie. Do you think they will still be in the creeks or back in the lake? Do you guys have some areas that we could focus on? Not looking for anyone's "special" place, just looking for some areas of the lakes. Planning on using jigs and possibly minnows. Any colors work best out there?
Thanks!

Brush piles 10-20ft deep.

Thanks for the info! I will try to find some brush piles in the main lake around that depth. I make plastics so I will see if I can make some colors like what you shared.
I did go to Somerville yesterday and fished yegua creek. We probably caught 25 crappie, bass, white bass, carp, and gasper all on crappie jigs. We had 16 keepers and released everything to the water.
Looking forward to camping out there this weekend!
