Anybody have an EchoMAP? How do you like it? They seem to be the most reasonably priced scanner with SI and DI standard that actually comes with everything you need out of the box. I'm worried it's too good to be true. Whatcha got?

I've had the Echomap 93SV for about a year now and I'm very impressed. The menu is very intuitive, it's preloaded with maps for every lake I've been on, and the speed of the maps is amazing, no lagging. I've had a few Hummingbirds and will never go back. The CHIRP technology allows is to show a ton of detail and I'm able to see fish hugging the bottom. The Garmin website is easy to use for updating maps and they have some of the best saltwater charts available if you go to the coast to fish. I bought mine on the sportsmans guide website. They often have a double your discount promotion if you are a member. I think annual membership is like $39 or $49.Don't over think it. I started to and then talked with the sonar guy at BassPro and he said they are kicking HB and Lowrances [censored]. The other big difference was the size of the unit. They are thing and don't have all that extra real estate around the screen. Look at how huge the HB and Lowrance are for the same screen size. I have limited dash space and the Garmin fits perfect.

I have had the 93sv for about a year and I've loved it so far. I replaced a Lowrance elite 7 with the Garmin and have not regretted my decision. I chose the Garmin due to its features at my price point. I was concerned about the 2d sonar since at one time I had an older Garmin combo unit that had pitiful 2d, but the 93sv is every bit as good as the Lowrance and the side and down scan have not disappointed. The maps have been quick to respond and very accurate although I dislike that you are limited to Garmin maps only. I fish north Texas lakes and spend a fair amount of time fishing the tx coastal bays and this unit has helped me fish these areas better.
