I have a couple spinning combos I use for drop-shotting, shakey heads, Neko rigs, (finesse rigs) etc... Because I prefer more of a power fishing approach, they rarely get used with the exception of the shakey head rig. One reel was a Quantum PT series Spinning reel I have had for about 6 years. Last month while on Amistad I reached in the rod box to pull it out and discovered the bail wire was broken. I have no idea of how this happened. How could I have not noticed it the last time I put the rod away. The wire was hanging off in a way I should have noticed??? At any rate as soon as I got home I searched the web for the replacement part and found that NO ONE had it in stock. So, having an upcoming tourney I knew I would need that combo I ordered a new One 3 Fishing Creed GT spinning reel. While waiting on the Creed to be delivered I called Zebco/Quantum to ask if they knew where I could find the part and was told that the bail wire had a Lifetime warranty and they would repair or replace the reel free of charge. So I sent it in and 8 days later FedEx delivered a brand new upgraded model of the reel at no charge, no questions asked!! Many years ago I had several Quantum reels some of which were bought at the factory that makes them for Quantum in Seoul Korea while I was stationed there in the Army. None of which lasted very long so I switched over to Shimano reels which were all stolen. If Quantum warranty and quality has changed I may take another look at them.

I've had pretty good luck with the Pro Staff 20, just replaced one that was probably over 20 years old. The drag would keep tightening up as you reeled.
