How do you want to catch them?

There are some striper guides who will freeline shad on points for smallmouth

Never really heard of any smallie guides recently on Texoma for bass, years ago Dan woodie was guiding for them.

Usually you can go up there and bang the rocks and catch a few smallies

I would like a guide to kinda show me around and help with the pattern of them. I ive gone up and been a able to get a few but it was a grind. I was hoping some one would be really dialed in on them up there.
I love throwing a drop shot, naturally being a west cost guy. Or crank baits and small swim baits would be a fun way to catch them.
Any info would be great guys

Thanks

If you cannot find a guide, you should try either casting or trolling crankbaits on shallow points at dusk and after dark. Make sure the crankbait is digging into the bottom. I've caught at least a dozen smallmouth on that lake over 18 inches. Best was 22 inches.

Dan Barnett is a top striper guide on Texoma but he is also keeps up with and guides for smallies. Often gives his fishing report on Saturday and Sunday mornings on Texas Fishing & Outdoors 1080am. As a bonus you could ask about a combo trip and hit both species. thumb https://danbarnett.com/smallmouth-bass-fishing/
