Well I took my boat out to try my new Xi5 , the darn thing wont lock in GPS it just blinks every one in awhile. Also when I turn it on , it seams to only have low speed , and wont cruise or anchor. I am off some next week to go fishing but don't guess I will if I cant figure this thing out.

Did you link or sync the footpedal or remote?

I would start with having the batteries checked out.

Yes even though all appears to be well with the batteries while on the charger It is my 1st recommendation to have them tested anyways. You can pull the boat to any AutoZone or O'Rileys and they will check them for you at no cost. You do not even need to pull them from the boat.

I've used mine for 7-8 hours and it has still never left green.

You might not have the batteries connected in series correctly to be 24 volt. I know when I accidentally connected mine parallel and was only 12 volt, it acted the same way. If that light is red, then the batteries are not fully charged or it's not getting full juice somehow.

Not sure if they are or not, shut up and ish install it , surely he would have noticed it. I got new batteries now but not sure they are hooked up 24. Or how to check it.
