Ok guys, after 4 years my $80 Lews reel is starting to go. The button isn't clicking properly and the drag is starting to slip. I've only owned Lews reels, but my friends swear by abu garcia and quantum. So, I've got my next reel purchase narrowed down to 3 different options.

LFS: http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Lews_Speed_Spool_LFS_Series_Casting_Reels/descpage-LSFS.html

I own 2 other lews reels and have no issues with them. Is there any reason to try out another brand? Thanks y'all.

Can't go wrong with either Lew's or Abu, comes down to preference and what you want to spend. There's no reason to switch from one to another. Lew's have been good to me and I have 2 Abu reels and they are fine for what I use them for. Can't hurt to try something new, you might like it better. Good luck.

I would prefer the Lews over Abu or Quantum. Shimano and Diawa make a quality product but can get pricey.

I'm a huge fan of Lews myself.

I really like the Lew's reels I have. Before you buy a new one, have you had someone clean/repair the one you have?

+1

I have quite a few Lew's and Tatulas and I've come to prefer the Tatulas. For the price point you can't go wrong with the Lew's though...

Well so do I but they are not in the $100 range.

The new Tatula SV TW is awesome.

Chk ebay, recently bought two tatulas on eBay in the 95-105 range. One was a 8.1 the other a 6.1 or something close. They are very well made and heck I can throw my spin cast to the side for most applications now. Really like em.

Thanks for all the replies. Im going to see if I can borrow my friends reels for a few days and make a decision from there.
