Got on the water at sun up. Talked to a couple of guys launching their kayaks. Told them about some brush close to the ramp. After I launched I went out to a pile that has been good in the past and marked it for them. I moved on down to another pile and caught my first keeper on the first drop. Then 3 shorts. I was about to move again when I looked over to the guys in the kayaks, or should I say the guy in his kayak, as the other guy had tipped over and was hanging on to his all but sunk kayak. I pulled the trolling motor and went over to help. Got him on board and back to the ramp with the kayak in tow. No worse for wear, just soaked. Good thing it wasn't December! I saw some guys headed to the bridge so that's where I went. No luck at the bridge but did meet a couple of guys that recognized Ole Yeller. Talked to them for a bit then moved again. Caught a couple of good ones off a collapsed pile on the west side. Lost the biggest fish of the day at the boat. Didn't have my net out. DOH!. That won't happen again. Moved on south and caught a couple more. As I was working my way back north along the east bank the scourge of all fisherman made its first appearance. The dreaded drunks in the wakeboard boat. Talked to another guy and his wife who recognized my boat. Guys I'm sorry I didn't catch your names. Feel free to chime in, so I'll know who you are. Hearing aides make it difficult to hear in the wind. Went back to the area I was when the kayak tipped and fished a pile in 9' of water. 3 fish in a row, each 1.5lbs. Best three, boated fish, of the day. Ended at 4:30. 16 keepers. Most on 1/16 oz jig with Rajun Cajun color. Most fish were in 14-16' of water, except the 3 bigger one. Warmest water I saw was 64.8. Good day to be out. I'll post picks tomorrow when I clean them.

Rod, it was nice to meet you on Saturday. We ended up with 4 nice keepers. I was in the green tracker boat.
