I had Eddie Sr and Eddie Jr out today for a white bass trip on Grapevine. The fishing wasn't exactly on fire today but it was steady. The ended up with a nice mess of 27 white bass and 2 crappie. Probably threw back a few dozen crappie that were short even though they were only targeting the white bass. Good mix of males and females and I have not seen a spawned out fish yet this spring. Just started to see the big females in more numbers this week. The water temp was all the way up to 70 by this afternoon. Really bounce back up after that little cool down last week. All fish today caught on 1/8 ounce pink jigheads and monkey milk or glimmer blue (same color) soft plastics. They bit different styles of baits as long as it was small. Also all fish caught on ultra lite tackle and 6lb line. Fun day for this father and son spring fishing on a beautiful March day.
