The Ray Hubbard Bass Club held our second tournament of the year on Saturday March 11 at Cypress Springs lake. A full moon in March should have made it a sight fishing event, but cloudy and windy conditions and stained water made seeing beds tough. We smashed the Club record for participation. A ridiculous 53 boats came out to fish one of our favorite lakes. Lots of 5 fish limits were weighed in but bigger fish were tough to find. The team of Garrett Macias and Bobby Finta found them weighing in exactly 20 pounds and big bass of the event at 6.55 and winning going away. Here are full results and pictures.



Russell Olds and Matt Jackson weighed in 4 for 5.96 but Matt still has the best s eating grin in the Club, beef jerky and all!



Tyler Ham fishing solo weighed 4 for 6.04



Josh Mulkey fished with Patrick Sharp and had 2 for 6.59 but included a 4.90. Patrick got a little cut off...



Ed Ham fished with Terry Nash. They had 2 for 7.05 but the bag included second place big bass of 5.47



Brian Brooks and James Sharp weighed in 5 for 7.44



Tommy and Danny Yates had a limit that weighed 8.37



Jason and Tiffany Letterman had 5 for 8.45

Richard and June Justus fished their first RHBC tournament and weighed a limit for 9.25



Olen and Elliott Davis had 5 for 9.61



Damon Machost and Steve Pebley had 5 for 9.69



Derek Sullivan and Lee Smith weighed in 5 for 9.77



Could it be? Yes, it's Pierre Bass Angler! Pierre Rebollar fished solo and had a nice limit of 10.58



John Souhrada and Scott Pomykal had 5 for 11.22



Jim Phillips and Randy Bridges had 5 for 11.37

Getting sixth place money were Chadd Dearen and Shane Henderson with 5 for 12.16



Finishing fifth were Doug Rener and Danny Wims with 5 for 12.96



Getting fourth place money by .01 pounds were Vince Burt and Mark Werner with 5 for 12.97!



Picking up where they left off last year and finishing third were defending AOY's Ronnie Manning and Capp Peace with a limit that weighed 13.62 anchored by a 3.55



Finishing second with a solid bag of 13.75 with a 3.62 were David Mulkey and Heath Wooten

Thanks to everyone that came out and there were a lot of you! Thanks especially to David Simmons for handling registration and keeping the money straight. It was a baptism by fire for our new Tournament Directors Robert Hitt and Paul Spann and they did a great job handling a lot of fish in a timely manner. Awesome job by them and big John Bruner recording weights! Our next tournament is this coming Saturday March 25th. It's our annual Club Open on Lake Ray Hubbard. Me and brother Danny had a great time and managed to catch a few fish. Congrats to the winners. Now I am waiting to see Pierre's video of what he did to catch his fish and I am also trying to find a hat like Chad was wearing for my collection.
