Where do you think the next Bassmaster's Classic will be held? Give a reason....not just "I'd like to see it (wherever)"..
My answer.....Lake Chickamauga.....it will produce HUGE limits..HUGE crowds...Chattanooga has plenty of space.....haven't been there since 1986....

2019 - Sam Rayburn
Too soon for Texas again, so maybe in 2020...has the fish, the size, the facilities (around the water)...just need an arena
Actually would love to see them fish the Cali Delta for a Classic somewhere down the road

No chance for Rayburn at all. I'd like to head back to Birmingham or Shreveport.

The reality is if we wanna ever have another Classic in Texas then people are gonna have to stop talking trash and dismissing it BEFORE it even begins and support it. Go for a day or two, have a big time and enjoy the hell out of it. Its one big party. Support it and it will be back.

I know a lot of DFW folks supported the Shreveport Classics and this is maybe an hour longer drive . . . but it is TEXAS! I went to both the Shreveport Classics, right at a 3 hour drive from down here halfway in between Rayburn and Beaumont. I'm pumped I'll have less than a 2 hour drive. I also went to NOLA in 1999. I think it's crazy to be within 6 hours and not go to one of these ... this will be the biggest yet.
Advice? Wise men don't need it. Fools won't heed it.

I went to both Shreveport classics and the one in Tulsa last year and had a great time at all 3. I do have plans to drive down to Houston for this years classic for at least 1 day. I don't know that they will ever hold the classic on Rayburn because of the lack of facilities for the weigh in or the expo. Unless Shreveport/Bossier invests $$ into jetty repairs and dredging boat lanes into the oxbows the chances of having the classic or the FLW cup on the Red River will be slim. Those are just my opinion. Maybe I will be wrong. Hopefully

But then it wouldn't be Texas bass fishing if we didn't throw a tantrum for never getting a Classic and then pissing and moaning over the choice and saying we aren't going because of the drive time. Lol

There was an article in the Shreveport Times saying that it won't come back to Shreveport/Bossier because the Classic Outdoor Expo has outgrown our convention center. I went to both Shreveport classics and the one in Tulsa last year and had a great time at all 3. I do have plans to drive down to Houston for this years classic for at least 1 day. I can see that. Its unfortunate because it brought a lot of revenue to the area. Would be nice to have an outdoor expo because then the city could offer the fairgrounds and the Hirsch Coliseum but with the weather being unpredictable in late winter and early spring that will more than likely never happen.

Every event in Shreveport was a closed arena due to overcrowding. They closed the arena early every final weigh in because the capacity was met over an hour early. The convention center is so small Bassmaster placed displays in the halls and entry area. They simply don't have room to host the event and if they return it will be larger yet. If they do then there will be folks at weigh in and displays in the convention center left out.

What is the difference in the drive from Conroe to Minute Maid as opposed to Texoma to the AAC? If they are similar, it can be done. LOVE to see it on Texoma. Cold months the small mouth will be in play!

Cold months the small mouth will be in play! I would assume with traffic considerations, it would be about twice as long to make that drive? Not completely sure on that, but it would definitely be a longer travel time

Texoma to AAC would be close to the same drive as Grand to Tulsa and Guntersville to Birmingham. Both of those events were an hour and a half.
