Been a while since I have been to Grapevine. Is there any grass left in the lake?

There has never been grass in grapevine. I have caught fish in Duckweed many years ago, it was early 80's, it was on the far side of the point where the Glass Cactus is now.

There were a few years within some massive beds of potato weed ... In the 70's.

There's an area in either Marshall or Denton Creek where there's about a dozen or so t-post and short mesh wire. I found it the hard way. I was told by someone that it was a joint venture project with a local fishing club and T.P.W. to experiment with various types of vegetation and possibly get one to establish. That was about 10 years ago. With the droughts and low water levels it never worked. Back then you could see a few Lilly pads, but nothing to get excited about.
