Good to Slabrador and Dutch and Paul Childress today. Fishing was tough to say the least. I am in love with my new to me boat. Bass Cat built one fine machine in the 2013 Pantera IV. Drags like a dream unloads and loads perfectly. Most stable fishing platform I have ever fished off of. The new Helix Mega is something to see. Spent a lot of time dialing them in. Still don't have them set to perfection but getting close. Slimed it up a little. Hit a few stumps... well a lot of stumps. Not a scratch on the hull to be found. The Ultrex is the bee's knees also. You have the best of both worlds with a remote and foot control steering also. You can control it from your phone or either Helix Unit and maybe the 898 in dash. I use it for a map and to see bottom on plane. The spotlock is good and the jog feature worked perfectly. Worked a lot of laydowns today and caught fish everywhere but not a lot of numbers. The Ultrex and Mega units will really shine this summer and fall brushpile fishing.

Here's a few pics. Spent more time tinkering today than serious fishing. Man there were a ton of boats on Fork today,

First fish of the day:

Good looking laydown but did not get bit here:

Just graphing around:

Glad you finally got on the water...looks good.

The driving force and secret desire of every bass fisherman, is to one day be a crappie fisherman............Could it be that the good Lord just smilies and looks the other way when a fisherman tells a lie?

That is so neat, to catch a crappie on your first trip out in your new boat. Way to go. That Humminbird unit sure looks good. I spent all my money 2 years ago on a 999, so no matter how good they get in the future, I will be glad that I have what I have. Keep the pics coming, sure do enjoy them.

I hear you Bobby. Been a lot of threads about boats and what to buy and money does determine the end result. But once you fish out of a BassCat and know how stable a boat can be and how well one will track when you're running the trolling motor in the wind, it's hard to fish out of anything else. You're just never satisfied.

Bobby, I didn't see ya, Kyron said you was out there some where, I was looking for ya.

I would be all over trying to catch that 1 fish in your screen shot, even though it looks like a bass. Well you get the ideal.

I've heard good things about the Humminbird mega and from the looks of that screen shot I hope it will be a future upgrade for me.

You are set now! Awesome rig man. I spent a ton of time graphing today. I could spend all day looking at that screen. It's crazy how some lay downs/piles look amazing, but don't hold fish, and others that aren't really all that impressive hold tons of fish.

31 keepers, took a half of a day to figure out how to get one caught.

Slow down. bang
