Love the old school zebco reel! And yeah the nutria are annoying in those canals, but there are some good fishing. It's about the only places I fish.

Thanks Man. I've never been a fan of open face bait-casters. I like spinning reels but the close faced zebco is just so versatile and easy to transport in my little G37.

I think fishing reels are alot like golf clubs. You can go out and buy an expensive set and some dude can come along with 20 year old clubs and just whoop ya.

BTW I tried to fish Elm Fork Trinity in the park right past the police station.

I was not a fan of the place, but I did fish it really fast.

The next spot on my list is the Thomas Jefferson Park pond. I hear that place is good.

Caught this Saturday on a drop shot with a senko looking for bass behind the McDonalds.

That's a nice looking crappie. I have only caught bass in the canal. Went last evening/night but, no luck. Conditions looked prime too.

You cannot fish all of the canals in Las Colinas but the one by the McDonald beside Cool River, You can!

Happy Fishin!
