could someone pm me about how to get into the river i will be in a 14 john boat if that makes a difference. i realize there is a tournament out there this weekend that i have no part of just wanting to catch a few fish.

actually two tournaments. TTO and a bass club tournament.

River has been fishing like poop. Better fish down south.

The river has been thoroughly raped over the past couple months. Had a couple of amazing days up there in December, catching over a hundred fish with a few over 4lbs. The last couple of times have been one fish each. Far more boats than fish.

If you'd like a shot at a trophy grinnel, fish a t-rigged black craw around the grass.

Getting into the river with a jon boat is easy. I just don't know of a closer place to launch than the 66 ramp. There's plenty of water at the mouth to idle in and out right now.

let the lake fall 3 1/2 feet and it's not nearly as crowded, well the mouth can be with those that get stuck LOL

I knew with 2 tournaments out there today I wasnt even going to consider going north. There was still 5 boats on every spot I went to though. I would imagine you could walk from boat to boat in the river today.
