Had some luck with my twins on their first fishing trip yesterday. It got interesting on the boat at times, but they had a blast. They lost their minds when we pulled in each one of these yellow cats.

Great pics jmh004, looks like it was a fun family trip! That's how it all started for me when I was about there age. I have some great memories running lines and fishing bends with my father in an aluminum jon boat and there were plenty of times where the whole family would pile in even if it was just for a stroll down the river on some great camping trips.

I have a 14 year old daughter. She loved bass fishing with artificials at age 5. Weightless weedless Senkos. Now that she wasn't snagging the patience came soon after. My twin boys, well that is a different story. I found it easier to take them somewhere they could hike or explore while rods were in the rod holders. I would often give them tasks. When we fished Denison Dam, they would hunt for fossils and pile them up next to where we were fishing. Whoever found the best one, won a prize. Other places they would hunt rocks, sticks, anything to keep them moving and occupy their time. Once we sell current home and buy new home I plan to get a boat.
