Fishing is pretty good right now. Shad spawn is in full swing so there are a lot of fish 0 to 5 feet. My father in-law got his first DD in 5 feet of water. We've been catching 30 to 40 a day with the occasional big girl in the mix.

Last Wednesday at Falcon I was trying to catch sunfish and tilapia off the dock bobber fishing with a piece of night crawler and caught two!

They were 3-4" and looked like sexy shad lures. Saturday I caught a couple boot length gizzards or threadfins with my cast net.

I've been fishing Falcon regularly since 2009 and for the first time I had a tilapia jump in my boat.... scared the chit out of me!!! LOL

Yeah I bet that was a trip.

Might want to stay away from the Mississippi River with those Asian carp!

Give me a holler next time you come down. I live on the dam end with the dock.
