I finally got to pull a boat with the new 2.8L Duramax and it exceeded my expectations. I towed a 20ft Champion from Plano to Texoma and back. There was no lag or bogging down the motor. I set the cruise control on 75 and it pulled great, never having to down shift or be placed in tow/haul mode.

If anyone else has any feed back or experience towing with the little Duramax, please share.

I find that very impressive. I think I would have really liked one of them, but just not roomy enough inside.

They look big on the outside. Once you get in it that appearance is gone.

I will say, it is definitely smaller than a full size, but i'm 6'1, 230 lbs, and I have plenty of leg room. What I do like is the the +25 mpg i'm getting driving back and forth to work:)

How is it when towing and going uphills?
Does it get slowed down or can it maintain the same speed?

It maintains speed great. Even when it has to downshift, the engine does not struggle.
