Mott park is closed and will not reopen until April 1st

You have little Mustang and Highview. Highview has a marina there with coffe.

Jerry is out working today so i'll try to clear this up for him. Yes Randy, Mott park is closed and Jerry wanted to have the tournament out of Highview. When he was getting his lake permit the corps told him that they were afraid that Highview could not handle the number of boats and parking. They suggested and agreed to open Mott Park for tournament day only to ease the crowding at Highview. I'm sure Jerry will provide details later.

Iv been working with COE on this for over a month. They preferred for us to use Mott park over high view to help reduce the crowd that highview will have due to it being spring break. Yes Mott park is currently closed but the COE has confirmed that they will open the gate at 5 am on Saturday so that we can hold the tournament there. I do have the COE lake activity permit in hand with approval for Mott park.

I'd recommend anyone going to prefish to use Highview Park.

Yessir, so far the COE of Lake Bardwell have been great! Wish I could say that about a lot of the other lakes.

Today we had 18 boats compete on lake Bardwell. Congratulations to Michael Houston and Vess Cooks on the win with a 56.90 lb stringer and also big fish of the tournament with a 23.94 lb bluecat. 2nd place was John Dillard and Jerry Dillard with 46.50 lbs. 3rd place went to Randy Miller and Johnny Ward with 19.90 lbs. I'd like to thank the Days Inn of Ennis for pitching an extra $200 cash towards the tournament and a big thank you to the COE of Lake Bardwell for being so helpful on facilitating the tournament. We look forward to to being back to Lake Bardwell in the future and working with you again.
