Hello Gentlemen,
Sorry this is so far put of season but I started and stopped this video several times. It ended up being nothing like I had intended it to starting out but, after giving up on it a couple of times (I even hovered over the delete key once), I kept coming back to it and, once I finally got my mind off the original concept, it worked itself out to what it is now. And I actually like it better than what I originally had in mind. The story is of a full day of fishing at Ray Roberts last Fall. Typical of Texas weather the day started off cool and crisp, changed to shorts and a tee shirt by mid morning and back to pants and a jacket after a mild front shifted the wind back out of the north. I really wanted to showcase the fall season, complete with falling leaves, changing in color and I really wanted to get a shot of geese heading south but it didn't happen. I did get some Monarch butterflies in migration though and I was lucky enough to see plenty of wildlife that lend to the feel of fall - at least to me. I also caught some fish. Nothing to brag about. In fact, they were pretty small but its hard to do a fishing video without any fish so I was taking what I could get. So, here is out it turned out. Hope guys are entertained.

Very cool! The "B" roll you shot does a really nice job of explaining why a lot of us go fishing in the first place. Yeah, it's fun to feel that tug on the line, but for me at least the best part is just being in the great outdoors.

Nice! That video is great. Do you have a foot control trolling motor or a manual one? Trying to decide if I can go cheaper and still get some utility out of it on my jon boat.

Thanks guys!

ZackW - I have a manuel trolling motor but I wired a foot on/off switch to the floor of the deck, next to the trolling motor. It sure saves on how many times I have reach for the motor. If you have a seat on the front of your boat you can use your foot to turn the motor as well as turn it on and off. If you watch closely in the video you can see me reach back with my right foot to turn the motor on and "bump" the boat up a little.

I see - that's pretty easy then. I did think about just using a mounted on/off switch and then manual steer. I'll probably do that.
