Next week is spring break at the HS I teach at. My wife booked us 4 days at the Doctor Creek campground at Cooper Lake State Park. I've never fished it but would like to try and introduce some fish to the cornmeal and bacon grease. Anyone got any tips for the lake for someone that has never been to it. No boat so it will have to be from the bank.

There is a fishing pier before you get to the kids playground. You can fish it or you can walk to the east and fish the rocks. My son's friend was out there last week and caught cats, bass, and crappie. Good luck.
Come into Cooper one day and try Fat Boys Bar-B-Q. Good stuff. They are closed on Monday.
