The family and I are going to be making a trip to Tawakoni for the weekend of the 31 March-1 April, can anyone please give an idea where to go bank fishing for blues. I will be bringing gear big enough to handle the big ones and cast 80+ yards, a cast net to get bait fish (or should I bring the frozen thread-fin I have in the freezer from last year?). I have fished for catfish for many years (since I could walk to the dock) with my biggest a 17# flathead, I would really like to top that and have heard Tawakoni can do it. So please help an old guy (46) catch the fish of a life time. Thanks for reading.

Well you have picked a good place to get a monster. look up Anchor Inn Marina. They have a good amount of Bank to fish. it is where I like to go. I have caught several 30+ fish over there. Also some very big Hybrid monsters. their number is 903-447-2256

Thank you, I will have to try it out. We are going to be renting a cottage at the 429 marina and stay the weekend and fish around. but from the pics you showed we will for sure stop by there. From one vet to another, Thank you for your service.

You guys are great, I checked into Anchor Inn and went ahead and rented a cabin there for the 24-25. So if you want to come out and show me how to do it, I really wont mind. I will be driving a dark grey 2004 silverado ex cab. Thanks again for the advice.
