Are the prizes going to be raffle, or do you get entered with your boat, or is it a silent action style

To my understanding no raffle. From what I've heard. All prizes will be given out to the fisherman. A chance to win something for fishing for a good cause. Trey will have to confirm this. So don't take my word. Just my understanding.

If we live on the lake can we just motor on up to ramp and enter? Are you going to have a 3 or 5 fish limit?

Is the launch inside of Decordova Bend at that ramp or somewhere else?

Yes as long as you check in between 5am and 7am. Your livewell must be checked at the boat ramp closest to the dam. Thanks!

Guess I failed to ask, is it a 3 fish tournament or 5 fish? Is there a minimum length or is it still 16". What about Kentucky Bass?

DCBE/ACTON VFD 1st ANNUAL BASS FISHING TOURNAMENT

Decisions of the Tournament Director are final and are not subject to appeal. Interpretation of these rules will be left exclusively to the Tournament Directors Decision of the Tournament. Each competitor agrees to report any rule violation to the Tournament Director immediately upon discovery of the violation. The violation of a tournament rule may result in weight loss, the loss of weight up to a specific time during the tournament day, the ineligibility to participate in future DCBE/Acton VFD events, or any other penalty deemed appropriate by the Tournament Director in his sole discretion. Protests must be made in writing within 10 minutes of the official closing of the scales at each tournament.

PARTICIPATION AND ELIGIBILITY: Any person entering this event under the age of 18 years must also have the signature of their parent or legal guardian on the official entry form. All Contestants must have a valid fishing license and follow all state and local laws. Registration will beginning at 5:00 AM the morning of the event. Each team must register in person at the designated site during official registration. Falsifying information on entry forms will be cause for disqualification from the tournament.
A livewell check must take place and morning check in for the days catch to count. Anglers may trailer in this event. ONLY water in Lake Granbury is considered legal tournament water. Once check in and livewell check is complete you may launch boat and go to your fishing spot. First cast is at 7am. Final cast is at 1:30 pm. You must check in at official registration site by 2pm. If you do not check in by 2pm you will not be allowed to weigh your fish.
Safe boating must be observed at all times. Each Contestant is required to wear a fastened (fully zipped and/or all clips fastened), U.S. Coast Guard approved, personal flotation device anytime the combustion engine is in operation from boat check until weigh-in. The driver must be seated in the driver's seat anytime the combustion engine is engaged in gear. Competitors are allowed to leave the boat and seek shelter in bad weather, at which time no fishing may occur. If your boat is equipped with a safety kill switch lanyard, it must be used while the motor is running.
Only artificial lures may be used. Only one fishing rod per angler may be used at any one time. Additional rods may be in the boat and ready for use; however, each cast and retrieve must be completed before another cast is attempted or rod is used. Trolling with the combustion engine as a method of fishing is prohibited. Switching or sharing fish with other teams or individuals is a violation of these rules and will result in immediate disqualification. All Bass must be caught alive, in a conventional, sporting manner. When sight fishing for Bass, all fish must be hooked inside the mouth to be counted as a legal fish. All angling must be conducted from the boat. At no time may a Contestant leave the boat to land a fish, make the boat more accessible to fishing waters, or locate bass.
All Contestants are required to follow high standards of sportsmanship, courtesy, safety and conservation. Boats must contain a properly aerated live well space to maintain alive a limit catch of Bass. Contestants may fish anywhere on tournament waters accessible by boat and available to the public, except areas designated as "off limits" or "no fishing" by state or federal officials, or within 50 yards of a competitor's boat which was first anchored (an anchored boat is a boat held in a stable position by a line attached to a weight with the trolling motor in the up position), or within 25 yards of a non-anchored competitor's boat unless otherwise agreed upon by the other tournament angler.
There will be only one official checkpoint for boat inspection in the morning and one official check-in point in the afternoon. Failure to go through boat check-out in the morning or failure to officially check-in at the check-in point will result in disqualification from such event. It is the sole responsibility of each Contestant to arrive at the designated check-in location on time.
The placing will be determined by the pounds and ounces of each angler's catch during the tournament. Only Largemouth, Spotted, Red Eye or Smallmouth Bass (collectively, Bass) are accepted species. The limit will be FIVE (5) Bass per team. 16 minimum on all bass. Any Contestant who possesses more than the tournament limit at any time will have their catch for that day disqualified. Bass presented for weigh-in, which fail to measure the prescribed length limit, will result in loss of that particular fish and a one pound penalty to the weight of the remaining fish. Any artificially weighed, preserved, or altered bass will be disqualified and that contestant will be subject to prosecution under federal and state laws. Bass will be measured with mouth closed, tail compressed and swiped to achieve overall greatest length. A one pound penalty will be deducted for each dead Bass presented for weigh-in. Any team that weighs in a dead fish for the big Bass award will receive a one pound penalty from the total big Bass weight. Culling of dead Bass is prohibited. Ties will be broken by a coin toss. Glock 23 pistol will be awarded to the smallest 5 bass limit. In the event of an emergency situation, competitors should call 911 first and then notify the Tournament Director at 817-637-2590 James Biggs or Trey Lee (940) 452-0955
