Opinions on next year? Building trailer park across from parking lot next to ramp! Under construction are large sections of steps at waterfront for access of campers. TPWD has listed this location on thier web site as number one in the state for Whites and Kayaks. Next year it will be overun.

It seems like it gets more crowded every year. Still pales in comparison to the level of crowdedness to some of the creeks in the DFW area.

Define "trailer park": campground? Mobile home Park? Boat trailer parking/storage area?

It's called "Lake Palestine RV Park".
No steps are under construction or planned.
That trailer park, as you call it, is a RV park only.
RV's & mobile trailers only.
No primitive camping of any kind on that property is currently allowed.

There are large steps under construction in two places on the creek. Observed them in person from my boat. RV, trailer, camper. Terminology.....All the same as it is short term and designed to cater to fishermen and kayaks. Nothing stated about primitive camping.

The only steps there is are located at the front of the RV park.
They lead to the parking area at the boat ramp.

The land around there is all flat with less than a 5 degree slope.
Building steps anywhere else near the park would be pointless as the landscape on 3 sides are flat all the way to the water.

The only steps on that property, can be seen just to the right of the office bldg on the right side of this pic.

Another pic of the flat landscape.

Then what are the concrete slabs stacked up the bank direct opposite to entrance on creek bank?

Steps or not are not important anyway. The fact that there will be several dozen overnight spots to stay and TPWD listing this as the top location now for Whites will over run it next year.

Concrete slabs can be used for many things & the list is far to long to post.

The bigger question is who would know they were there unless you were in a boat?

The RV park is 200+ yards from the creek.
Nobody can see them from the RV park either.
How many folks would walk 200+ yards from the south end of the park just to go to some steps at the creek when the boat ramp & parking area is closer ?

Well, keep promoting them as steps & keep advertising that place as #1 for whitebass will keep the really good places out of peoples minds.

The whitebass run there has been very dismal for the last 3 years & I for one highly doubt I'll ever go back.
