They ran off the 'massage parlors' years ago. They also changed the High School mascot and painted the water tower.

They call it progress.

That is by the mall and 121

Come up Preston near El Dorado it gets real there, between main and Eldorado we have a 5000 acres Brinkman Ranch.

I grew up in Prosper just north of there. I remember when all there was on 289 was an Albertsons, Brookshires, The Royal, and a few small shops here and there. Absolutely nothing but grassy fields south of Albertsons (where 289/121 is now). I think there was only 1 or 2 stop lights, and they didn't really even need those except for when school was getting out. Frisco did a really good job of expanding that road in advance of the population growth. I haven't seen another city that was so proactive about it. When they expanded 289 (nobody called it Preston back then) to 3 lanes each way, we were all confused about why they thought there was gonna be enough people around to drive on a 6-lane road.

Who would want to have clean legit businesses in their town? The nerve of Frisco to do something so terrible!! I mean it should be like Arlington where you have tons of choices in wheel rental places, vape stores and pawn shops.

Used to take 289 from Richardson to Texoma in the 80s (this was when they were doing all the 75 construction in Plano). It was nothing but fields once you got north of Parker

It's unbelievable, isn't it?

When I first drove through that area I thought, "Holy [censored], isn't there an ordinance against something like this? It looks terrible."

It's overbuilt suburbia at its worst.
