Does anyone know how the freshwater inland waterways around Houston are to navigate and fish with a bass boat? I am referring to Clear Creek, Buffalo Bayou, Brays Bayou and Simms Bayou...also, any tips on good places to go on these waterways?

Clear creek yes, see bay and bass boats in there. Have nothing for you on the bayous, but think I have heard Armand come up a few times.

A lot of those urban areas are restricted access and folks ain't allowed in there with boats. But I know there's a lot of big blue cats in Greens Bayou right under I 10. Caught hundreds of pounds of them there with traps, big ones too, when I was collecting fish there in the 90's for environmental studies.

I see a lot of carp, tilapia, and mullets in most of the concrete bayous around Houston. Not a lot of folks fishin' for 'em though.

You get down here in Brazoria County and there's tons of places to go in a bass boat. Chocolate Bayou, Bastrop Bayou, among others.
