Fellas! I've gone out to Bachman for the past couple of evenings looking for that evening bite from the bank.
Mainly been looking for largemouths, however, I make sure to keep my crappie rods with me just in case.

Unfortunately, I've had Z E R O luck. Any tips or pointers for getting on the bass with the water temp being what it is right now??

Thanks!

Might want to post this in the bank fishing section. There are a few people that fish this lake on a regular basis that will throw some pointers out there. And by the way welcome to the forum.

Rumor has it if you throw a green pumpkin diaper you'll get bit

I haven't been this year yet. May go next week. Last fall I caught a couple of small bass off the rock ledges. I had one big one get tangled up in brush under the lighting tower for runway, and sunk down too my knee in the mud trying to him. Soft plastics watermelon red working best most everywhere.

I got into bass fishing a couple seasons ago, and I'm still learning.

One thing that amazes me are the tons of names that fisherman call different kinds of baits, and all the different names fisherman call the "same" baits.

I do not know if "green pumpkin diaper" is a real name for a real bait, or is this a joke regarding the uncleanly disposal of diapers that some lowlifes do in parking lots.

Teach me...

...no wisdom! Doh!

I am willing to bet it's a reference to the disposal of garbage into that water body, so if you catch an extremely green crappie or large mouth don't be surprised and think twice before keeping it for the grease

If it's legal ain't no way in hell it's catch and release, it's CATCH & GREASE, except ROUGH (TRASH) Fish

The fish in the main lake love to chase shad
Other than the spawn or if very little wind: I'm throwing moving baits at Bachman and white rock
From the bank; find a wind blown point and throw the following

1: lipless CB
2: 1/4oz or 3/8oz spinnerbait or chatterbait.
3: inline spinner
4: sq bill
5: flukes
6: 1/4oz or 3/8oz swim jig
