I have been there recently and have caught some nice bass and some bluegill. Last week I had a big bite on light tackle that eventually snapped my line on the north side by first parking lot as you enter off Walnut. I have also seen some big fish near the bank that are either spawning or getting ready too, around 9pm. Not sure if they are bass, carp or koi. I do have some pics of some bass but the process to post is tedious. Anyways, I go there almost weekly since it's right down the street from me. Always looking for new people to fish with.

Going again today.. but first, Academy for some new lures, bait!!

Pics are on my FB page.. search dan palma. fish

Used to catch catfish out of there 20 years ago on can biscuits & treble hook. Never kept them, but some of the biggest mudcat I'd seen. Fun on ultra light tackle.

I've tried catfish dough bait but no bites on it.. gonna try for some carp with corn bait.. see if I get any nibbles. Just can't stand the turtles when I use the bloodworms. Although, the small bluegill love worms.. Hitting up Academy then heading out a bit later as long as the rain doesn't hit hard but I can find shelter in my car. Also going to get a couple of top water lures for the bass that I know are in there. My biggest bite came off a small white rooster tail I tried last weekend as soon as it hit the water, my line was in the opposite direction real quick!

I went to Richland in '85, ohhhh, so long ago, and so young!

Obviously, the security has no problem with fisherman? I'm asking, I don't know...

Addendum: This topic takes me back. Richland reminds me of Michelle Parkinson, a girl in my theater class that was crazy about, and it was at Richland back in 1985 that I had my first ever bag of "microwave popcorn."

I think it was invented/discovered back then.
