I don't agree with anyone trading on their service record to get ahead in life. Their story becomes about them and not the guys they served with. One of his videos is even about" My first Kill"
My advise to the offender is to forget your service record, don't talk about it anymore. Just put it away and you will do a lot better.

I know the video you are talking about because I just happened to see it in the last few days. I thought it was a very interesting video of what being in the middle of a fire fight is all about. Never once did I feel like it was just him bragging about killing someone. Im sure he made some money off that video because if I remember correctly it had about 2 million views but as far as I am concerned he more than earned that money by being there and living to tell about it. That video was also part of a special military spot light thing he does every so often too so it really wasn't something that was just thrown out there out of the clear blue.

Some people do better by keeping their bad memories of being in the military to themselves and some do better by talking about it. Everyone is different.

Yes some people will use their service to get ahead as well. I see it all the time on THF when people are looking or hunts or leases and they have to toss in that they are military or law enforcement to try to gain a edge on everyone else looking for the same thing. In those situations I feel its tacky. Of the fishing videos I have seen where the military service is brought up I haven't seen it really used as leverage to get ahead though.

Those damn youtubers

Like your channel but you and Justin should be more transparent about paid promotions.

I guess you never watched a fishing show on TV. The entire show is a paid promotion. Including Honey Hole. I love watching all the shows for entertainment and realize these guys can't do all of this for free. However I have actually learned a lot from watching some of these shows and videos. If you don't like it then don't watch it.

Fair compromise with the video icon. Scroll past if you don't like videos. Works for me as is.

I agree. Can't believe everyone getting butthurt over videos. Well, now there is an icon too. Should be fairly simple. Watch or don't watch. These videos don't hurt this section, imo. In the bigger picture, these videos really only account for a small percentage of traffic.
