is there a good camping area near the marina where basschamps is HQ'ed? Son and I will go the night before and camp to eliminate the drive at 3am.

Ronnie - Isle Du Bois State Park has some awesome camping areas. It's only about a 15 minute drive from there to the Marina. But if it were me and I was camping there, i would launch there to avoid all of the lines and just run over to the marina via water. We almost always launch at the State Park in the morning and drive over.
