Weather was ok, cool, low wind early then some whitecaps later in the day. Lots of birds but they are scattered and no help whatsoever. We only got fooled once by them.
Tried Lofers bend point and Harbor Master, nothing. Went to Towash and fished along the creek channel. Caught some nice sb. Was headed to a hump off the end of State Park and the graph lit up with stripers, 10 fow to the bottom. While I was looking all over for my cell to take a pic, Rob immediately hooked up with two nice fat stripers. The one on the fly broke the split ring and mangled his rig as it fell off. I had on a very small light slab and by the time I could change my lure, looked all over for my phone (which turned out to have dropped out of my pocket when I parked the car) and Rob got his rig ready they were gone. What a missed opportunity. Went to the dock to find cell and back to the area but they were long gone.
Next we went to the bluffs and found some nice sb, catch 4 or 5 move, catch a few more. McGowen was next and found some there. Tried Cedron and a couple of spots North of the bridge with no luck.
We worked hard for the 84 on the clicker, all returned. Majority were caught either suspended at 20fow or on the bottom in 20fow. Water temp was 60. Sorry no pics this time, by the time I found my cell the boat was a rocken and hard to take pics.
