Since there has been so much discussion about them lately, let's hear your opinion. Are you good with the number being posted here? Are there too many being posted? Do we need some criteria for posting them here?

Here is my opinion of the current situation

You have created rules about post count and created other pages to keep the discussion boards as discussions. Plugs and announcements was created to keep people from constantly plugging sponsors.

Why not a simple rule that if a video is monetized within youtube, it either goes to the video page or plugs and announcements. Those that wish to post a short video of a great catch or a video of their kids are treated the same as anyone posting a picture of the same thing. But the guys posting here to drive traffic and revenue get moved elsewhere

Like em. If I don't want to see them, then I skip it. It's easy. They are obviously bass fishing related, and i think they are more relevant than some other posts. Plus, it pisses the old folks off. 😂

Well, if it is a video of bass fishing, I see no reason why it wouldnt fit into the bass fishing forum. I have posted several videos here before without any problem. I think people are just getting riled up
over how people are are conducting their selves in the videos.

Another thing, I may use YouTube to host my videos but I wouldnt consider myself a "Youtuber".

If all videos belong in the photos and videos section then why wouldnt all photos then belong in that section as well???

another reason monetized videos should be in the plugs section, imo.

And absolutely, if they are monetized that is a different issue entirely

JP seams like a lot of post any more are videos. I am not sure how you could really put a difference in videos. I would think if they just posted videos on the videos section it would clear it up for everyone. This way the ones that wanted to see videos would know exactly where to fine them quickly. I believe the main reason they don't post them there is not many people will really go search for them and they will not be seen. I would think if people really wanted to see the videos they would go look for them over on the video section and they would be able to fine them easier. I would think this would get so many post off the bass fishing section to have to search through before we can fine just regular post. just my .02

They are annoying and should be posted in the correct section. They are taking advantage of the high traffic bass section to spam their content for personal gain. As a member for along time It is irritating IMO.

And what happens to the traffic in the beloved bass section once all this stuff gets moved? Would you be happy logging on to see a ghost town? I have no dog in the fight. Just occupying myself since I didn't fish this morning.

Personally, I don't see a problem with all the videos. If they are primarily an advertisement, we move them to plugs & announcements.

Just wanted to hear your opinions.

I agree, just put them in the video forum where they belong. The bass fishing page is starting to look like Facebook with all the look at me posts,
