Spent the day at Colorado Bend SP. The river was high and muddy and windy at times. I went up river from the ramp and ended up at the shallows, 1 - 2 feet of water. I caught seven whites up near the bank in the reeds. They shut down and I went down river with no luck. Returned back to where I started and caught six more. They were all 12" - 14". I used a variety of baits, but the 1/4 oz roadrunner with a BassPro white & yellow grub and chartreuse triple tail worked for 12 of them. It was a little windy for the flyrod but the extra one came on a #8 chartreuse & white clouser.
Next week in Waco at the Middle & South Bosque river!
