South Florida was my home water area for 20 years, so think super-thick vegetation. Quite a few who fished the lake (not canals) ran with the original version offered long ago, including myself. The effect was amazing because it cut vegetation as you went - before it loaded up the TM. The only catch is that it can jam at really low speed settings, when the scissor effect isn't pronounced enough to cut. I usually had a speed setting that worked just fine.

It will be a bit noisy when weed whacking, so you'll still want to drift when possible, but if you need to power to a stuck fish, it can make getting there fast possible. I will order one before I go back to fish Florida.

An added bonus: fishing line rarely gets on the TM prop shafts anymore.
