Already starting to hear about early spawning crappie. Anyone expecting an early shad or catfish spawn?

Most of the lakes are pretty cool and the shad is still deep. I figure once the shad start moving shallow the fish will follow. Until then I am afraid we are still in a winter pattern.

Everything is going to be a month early this year in north Texas. Birds are heading north, trees have leaves on the already, my chickens are laying again, and the grass is growing in Feb. Spring is here! I marked my biggest fish in 18ft Saturday but most cats I marked were in 5 ft. Bait was at all depths
